Election Integrity Bills Passed in 2024
- HB 730 & SB 692– Mandates that all independent expenditure reports must be filed electronically with the State Board of Elections, ensuring more efficient and transparent reporting of campaign finances.
- HB 441 & SB 606– Expands the definition of a “person with a disability” to include voters with any permanent or temporary disability and requires officers of election to be trained on assisting voters who use curbside voting.
- HB 1330– Recodifies that individuals confined while awaiting trial or after a misdemeanor conviction can vote by absentee ballot.
- HB 943– Adds election officials to the list of protected voters, allowing them to use a post office box address instead of their residence address in voter registration records.

Election Integrity Bills Killed in 2024
- HB 1177 & SB 606– Would have required Virginia to re-enter the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC). Vetoed by Governor Younkin.
- HB1454 & SB 246– Would have extended the validity of limited-duration licenses and driver privilege cards. Vetoed by Governor Younkin.
- SB428– Outlined requirements for conducting and reporting Ranked Choice Voting results. Vetoed by Governor Younkin.
- HB26– Would have expanded acceptable forms of voter identification to include IDs issued by government agencies. Vetoed by Governor Youngkin.
- SB 364– Made it a class 5 felony for any poll worker to engage in voter harassment. Vetoed by Governor Youngkin.
